The War of Wind & Moon Delayed for Exciting Possibilities!

By | August 31st, 2016|

Hello lovely readers!

I know I promised you Chapter 10 in three weeks but I’m not going to meet that for an exciting reason… that I can’t share with you yet, though I so wish I could!
I can say that I’ve been asked to work on something other than chapters for a little while which could end up being HUGELY exciting and if it does I will be so excited to share it with all of you who have supportted my work for so long!

So, for now, I’ll have to ask you to stand by – either I’ll have wonderful news about Wind and Moon, or I’ll simply have the next chapter and continue as orginally intended.

In the mean-time I hope you’ll be sending good vibes my way for the exciting outcome – you can even help that along by pre-ordering The War of Wind and Moon, Season One on Inkshares to let them know you support the story! I’d be so very grateful if you did!

Here’s the link to Inkshares: I’d be so very, very grateful if you did!

I’ll keep you all as informed as I can as soon as I can!
Wishing you creativity and courage!

The War of Wind and Moon, Chapter 9

By | August 4th, 2016|

WoWaMSQ S1CH 9Hello dear readers!
Here at last is Chapter 9 of The War of Wind and Moon – I’m quite excited about this one because it is the end of Act One of both Season One and Mia’s life! I do hope you enjoy it.
For those of you who listen to the podcast as you read, you’ll notice the lack of the embedded player in this post – the podcast is up and you can play it on the main page playlist widget if you really want to but I’m loathe to link it here just yet because after I uploaded it, it sounded dreadful (I won’t say in what way in case you haven’t picked it up but I’d bet you have!) I will be remastering it for you the moment I have time and will embed it when I do – it may be the weekend, though, ironically, a request for me to return to producing audio books has had me running around visiting potential studios this week!

For those of  you who are happy to just read, though, I won’t keep you in suspense any longer! Remember, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or a question!
Good reading to you!

The War of Wind and Moon, Chapter 9

Mia squeezed her eyes closed but pain and swelling forced them open. Instead, she focused on the bloody towel she was holding to her nose, counted to three, then raised her gaze to the ceiling again. The glimmering creature was still there, staring down at her with its lidless eyes atop […]

The War of Wind and Moon, Chapter 8

By | June 21st, 2016|

Hello everyone, Chapter 8 is ready for your ears and eyes and, gosh it was a tough one to write and record! I won’t go into detail for fear of spoilers but I feel the need to warn you to brace yourselves – and do feel free to vent in the comments if you are so moved (if I done my job right, you will be!)

Chapter 8 finds Mia hoping she can keep the school counselor from prying into what happened at her last school but, as always, the real danger is at home.

Mia was awake long before her 6:45 alarm was due to ring and not just because she kept rolling onto her back and being woken by Sunday night’s, now flourishing bruises. It was Thursday and she wasn’t going to be able to talk her way out of the counselling session Vice Principal Kostopoulos had rescheduled.  If she was lucky, she’d be able to keep Mrs. Paige focused on catching up on the extra work changing schools had created, rather than discussing why she’d moved. Mia had a plan. She’d been up till 1 a.m. filling in and colour-coding a study timetable. She was quite proud of it. Every fifteen minutes from 8a.m. to 11p.m. of the next month was jammed full of enough work to make any counselor worth their salt want to spend a full session discussing taking breaks and the benefits of extra-curricular activities […]
